Dear States of Guernsey…

It has come to this.. Your wayward empirical fantasies and inch by inch plans to destroy our coastlines with reclamations and unnecessary “infrastructure projects’ - that completely over estimate, by a laughable amount in many cases, the possible worldwide market for this island and its services - can no longer be allowed, by us the general public, to continue to swallow our taxes in fruitless searches for a plaque somewhere that bears your name.

We, as the population of this island - that pay your wages and put you in power - are here and now standing up and telling you that our coastline is off the market. It is not potential real estate, it is not a whiteboard for your “creativity” …. It is a living, breathing environment that we want to remain as nature (as much as is any longer possible) intended…

We - not you - are Guernsey, and it is time that you understand that we don’t want to live in New York, or Monoco (otherwise we would go do just that) and we certainly don’t wan’t to live in some run down version of someone’s failed fantasies…

We are the general pubic, and we want our coastlines left alone.
