Coastline waste collections

We’ve been pretty busy with our coastline waste collections this summer with a substantial number of new waste deposits found on both dive and above water searches. Many of these have been either partially or fully removed, although as always there are plenty left to go, with more being added seemingly weekly!

Most of this waste is fishing industry related and ranges from years old net deposits that have well and truly grown themselves into the natural environment. These can only be removed with multiple sessions to ensure damage and leftovers are minimised. Others have been nice and simple spot and pick ups of general flotsam and recently lost fishing gear.

As always, each new tide or storm brings our waters more, and so we are always interested to hear of any spot from people out walking or using the coastlines. You can inform us of your sightings by clicking here and filling out the form and we will act on it as soon as we possibly can.
